Is my data used to train other agents?

No. Trustap Index doesn't train AI models, and we don't license your data to anyone who does. The agent platforms only see what they need to complete a specific buyer's purchase: product info, price, and availability, the same things a human shopper would see on your site. Sales data, conversion rates, buyer identities, and your internal analytics stay private to you. Other merchants on Trustap Index can't see any of it either. The only "data" agents act on is your public listing, which is doing exactly what a listing is meant to do: tell potential buyers what you're selling and for how much.

How do you prevent "Agent Spam"?

Agents on Trustap Index don't negotiate or browse anonymously; they place real orders. Every transaction requires a verified buyer paying through Trustap, which means abuse has an immediate financial cost: you can't flood a merchant with fake orders without a thousand funded buyers behind them. On top of that, every agent platform authenticates with Trustap Index (so we always know who's calling), inventory reservations expire automatically if a checkout isn't completed, and we apply per-agent rate limits. A misbehaving agent gets revoked at the platform level, not at the listing level.

How are chargebacks and disputes handled?

Trustap’s dedicated team manages the entire investigation and resolution process between the store and customer (for ecommerce) or buyer and seller (for marketplace), shielding your platform from financial liability and the administrative burden of chargebacks.

Does this require changes to my existing checkout UI?

No, using Trustap Index does not change your existing checkout UI.

How does Index "read" my catalog?

Neither, actually! Trustap Index isn't a crawler and you don't have to build a feed for it. You either connect your existing storefront (Shopify, WooCommerce, etc.) so Index mirrors your catalog automatically, or you list products directly in Index through the merchant dashboard. Private sellers can even list conversationally through their own AI agent. Once a product is in Index, it's instantly available to every supported agent platform: list once, sell everywhere.
